Switch to Forward, and your sound is made more up-close and personal thanks to a presence boost. Meanwhile, Neutral mode sits nicely in between the settings we just mentioned, which is not to say you'll end up with flat, characterless sound here: the bass is clean, articulated and far from over-abundant, while the tube-driven highs are airy and smooth.
